Highlights
in INCA's Short History
- The second issuer in South Africa of corporate bonds;
- An asset swap transaction with Sanlam Investment Managers to the
value of R1,37 billion in 1999;
- An asset swap transaction (March 2004) with the Public Investment
Commissioners to the value of R530 million;
- Being named the Best Non-Listed Company in South Africa in 2002 (Business
Day, Arthur Anderson and Wits Business School Non-Listed
Company Award);
- The successful conclusion of five long term global loan facilities
from the European Investment Bank to the value
of more than R1,0 billion and loans from AFD totalling
more than R500 million;
- The creation of a dedicated capacity
building grant fund for municipalities in 1998, which
contributed to the training of 1,800 municipal officers in General
Municipal Accounting Practices, and 950 persons in short-term
basic financial skills training and;
- Research on the impact of AIDS/HIV on municipalities as
employers and service providers (in conjunction with the Medical
Research Council).
